A beautifully detailed large jade heart with a carved gold feather front. Called Pounamu in New Zealand, the nephrite jade has a rich deep coloring showing natural inclusions with the gold feather intricately detailed. Jade is an ancient stone that has historically been used to attract love. A wonderful sentiment and a stunning piece of antique jewelry. Circa 1910s. The pendant is in good condition with no noted nicks or chips to the jade.
